The intake problem it solves
For most firms the first call is the sale. Prospective clients who reach voicemail call the next firm on the list, and attorneys lose billable time screening calls that turn out to be the wrong practice area or a conflict.
Zentry Assistant answers every new-client call, text and website chat, gathers structured intake, and gives your team a qualified request with the conflict-check details already captured, so an attorney spends time only on matters the firm can take.
What the law template includes
The law template starts with intake flows for common practice areas, each editable by the firm.
- Matter type and a short description in the caller’s own words
- Names of the other parties, for the conflict check before any confidential detail is shared
- Key dates the caller mentions, flagged for attorney review rather than interpreted
- Consultation requests with preferred times, routed to the right attorney or paralegal
- Existing-client messages routed to the responsible attorney’s extension
- Office hours, locations and the consultation fees you choose to publish
Ethics: confidentiality, supervision and no legal advice
Lawyers remain responsible for the assistants they use. ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2024) applies the duties of competence, confidentiality, communication and supervision to generative AI tools, and Model Rule 5.3 makes the firm responsible for nonlawyer assistance. Zentry Assistant is built for that supervision: every conversation is transcribed and summarised on the contact timeline, and the firm controls the intake script.
The assistant never gives legal advice, never assesses the strength of a case, never quotes deadlines or limitation periods, and never forms an attorney-client relationship. It says so plainly and offers a consultation with an attorney. It collects party names for a conflict check before asking for confidential details.
Zentry Assistant does not provide legal advice. Intake does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Confidentiality and records
Intake transcripts are encrypted and visible only to staff with access to that contact, are covered by the Confidentiality & Privilege Addendum signed at signup, and can be exported to the matter file in your practice-management system.
Price: $20 per user per month

Frequently asked questions
Can a law firm use an AI assistant for client intake?
Yes, if the firm supervises it. Zentry Assistant captures intake and conflict-check details and queues consultation requests; attorneys review every matter, consistent with ABA Formal Opinion 512 and Model Rule 5.3.
Will the AI give legal advice to callers?
No. It never gives legal advice, case assessments or deadlines; it tells the caller so and offers a consultation with an attorney.
How does it handle conflict checks?
It collects the names of the other parties before asking for confidential details, so the firm can run a conflict check before the matter is discussed.
Is the intake conversation confidential?
Transcripts are encrypted, visible only to authorised staff, and covered by the Confidentiality & Privilege Addendum signed at signup.
How much does it cost for a law firm?
$20 per user per month as its own service, with the law template and setup included.
