Business Associate Agreement
Scope
When a covered entity activates a medical or dental account, ZentryVoice acts as a business associate under HIPAA for protected health information transmitted or stored through the service. Law practices receive a Confidentiality & Privilege Addendum and financial firms a Recordkeeping & Supervision Addendum instead.
Our obligations
We use PHI only to provide the service, protect it with administrative, physical and technical safeguards, report security incidents without unreasonable delay, and make PHI available to you for access, amendment and accounting requests.
Term
The agreement is countersigned electronically at activation and lasts for the life of your account. On termination we return or destroy PHI as you direct.
